Although it’s probably a matter of perspective as to what’s a rookie or not, I’ve traded options on and off for about 10 years without a great deal of success; I’m going to consider myself a rookie if for no other reason than that.
I’ve been reading and studying iron condors, and I think I would like to sort of specialize in those. a) am I out in left field, or is this realistic? and, b) if realistic, does this fit in well with your style of education, i.e.,options for rookies premium?
Any thoughts or advice on this would be most appreciated.

I think that qualifies you as a rookie. Most people in your position would not feel comfortable with that designation. However, you do recognize that something has been missing in your approach to using options.
The iron condor is my strategy of choice (at least for now and the past few years). But things evolve, and who knows how long I will still prefer it?
Yes, it is realistic. By that I mean the attempt is reasonable and if you understand the process and show some trading discipline, you should be able to make some money. Obviously, how much you earn is going to depend on your skills – but it would be my job to help you develop those skills. I also talk a bunch about risk management and the philosophy of trading.
